Mexico is a Jim/Blair story by Lemon Drop.

Reactions and Reviews

Blair learns about his past, and Jim learns about his present in Mexico, a deceptively genial first time story by Lemon Drop.[1]

I’ve always found Blair to be something of an enigma. While the show spent a fair amount of time exploring Jim’s psyche, Blair’s person and history was left a tangle of often contradictory threads, chief among them Blair’s peripatetic childhood with the loving but distracted Naomi. As is true of all of Lemon Drop’s work, Mexico is beautifully written, with a gentle rhythm and wonderful details. Although Mexico also features a lovely romance between Blair and Jim, I’m recommending it for Lemon Drop’s portrayal of Blair’s childhood. In fact, her vision is so persuasive I can no longer imagine it any other way.[2]

This unfolds in a languid dream like manner, with a blending of past and present, and does a wonderful job of invoking images of the area, the sea, sand and sun.[3]

A long, slow, luxurious, romantic first-time that's also about blair's childhood. beautiful vivid setting. [4]
