A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica
A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica was a documentary that the band filmed while they were in the studio making The Black Album. There is video footage of the band recording, mixing the record, doing promotion for the album, as well as touring up until late 1992. The documentary was split into two parts with extra footage being released in 2021 with the release of Metallica - The Deluxe Remastered Box Set.
This documentary was a precursor to what would come from their next documentary Some Kind of Monster in 2004.
