Excerpts

How did you get into writing fanfic/creating fanart? How long have you been creating fan art or writing fan fiction?

After a year or so of reading slash across a variety of fandoms, I finally bit the bullet and created my own LJ in August 2006 with the intention of commenting on my favorites and attempting to write my own Clark/Lex in the Smallville fandom. My first story was posted 9/6/2006 and since then I've written and posted over one million words. I also have, at last count, 65 bunny docs hopping around on my hard drive in various stages of although my writing output has slowed to a trickle due to my health.

I wasn't drawn into SGA until the spring of 2008 (thanks to undermistletoe). completion. Unfortunately, my writing output has dropped considerably the past year due to health issues, but I keep plugging away.

In early 2007, I began compiling CLex recs by theme, which grew into danceswithclex. It really needs to be updated, but I've been too busy writing and Photoshopping and writing McShep recs and so on.

In addition to the writing, fandom rekindled my artistic side and I've been working on various Photoshop creations since 2007. I currently have over 2000 icons, banners and covers posted to my Scrapbook on LJ. SGA really kicked my icon making into high gear with the various icontests I've entered.

Okay, redshirt, you've signed on for a very dangerous mission to go back in time and it could be a one-way trip. I should add that while every effort will be made to keep you within the dawn of civilization – we really don't know where that dial will stop. But you are allowed one personal item… name it.

Gary, because I'm still dancing with him and always will even if it's just in my dreams.
