I've been writing fanfiction since I was thirteen and I saw the original X-men movie in 2000, so that's 7 years. I started in het and when i was about...16 I started to gravitate to slash. I rarely look back.
This is my first time in the SGA fandom as a writer and I only found the show this summer. But I love the true ensemble nature of the show. I mean, yeah, its mostly John's show but everyone plays such balanced and important parts. Plus, its a fun show with great writing. What I love about the fandom is that all the great writers of other fandoms have seemed to migrate to SGA, so you a huge collection of really smart, really talented writers all clustered around one concept and that, to me, is just BLISS.
