Rodney McKay/Elizabeth Weir is one of the rarer het pairings among the original cast of Stargate Atlantis.
The first episode of the series, The Rising, shows us Rodney and Elizabeth with a productive working relationship where she is very much in charge and knows Rodney's strengths and weaknesses. They have clearly been working together for quite some time and respect each other very well.
As the series progresses Rodney and Elizabeth continue to work closely together, and sometimes do extreme things for or because of each other. She gave him the green light for the project that blew up a solar system and he decided nanites were the way to go when she was dying.
