Daniel Ricciardo/Max Verstappen (also known as Maxiel) is a popular ship in Formula 1 RPF fandom. Ricciardo and Verstappen were teammates at Red Bull Racing from 2016–2018 and are well known for their "bromance".

Normally in fanfiction, Max is viewed as the one who fell first for Daniel when they first met. Daniel is usually in denial about his feelings for Max before he admits to himself that he has feelings for Max and that he's not entirely straight.
