Fun equipment Spock has. I like to see him a bit different from human, but I did worry that the tendrils would rip if Kirk moved his foot. Nice sex scene, erotic without being unreal. I rather think that anal sex by untried partners would hurt some, so I find scenes where they proceed at full speed somewhat painful to read. I like a scene that I can feel I'm in (as much as a woman can be in a m/m scene).

To me, this one had voice problems. The sentences were too long and adjective-laden to sound like Kirk. But note that I usually do have trouble with first-person K/S. And this has some real good bits: "it was as if the very tiny hairs on my arms were moving. Every cell in my body reached for him."

I'm sure that the author thinks all those tears are romantic. I think that she needs to find a way to make the reader cry rather than the characters. I also didn't think it was very romantic for Spock to sling Kirk over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. This goes contrary to the mood that the author seemed to be trying to establish. A romantic carrying his lover to bed should be tenderly embracing the loved one in his arms.
