The earliest fic with these three in a relationship together is perhaps All the Gardens I Have Ever Gazed At by solaciolum, posted to Dreamwidth in July 2010. The author notes: "Altair, Malik, and Maria are in a triangle relationship here, although I downplayed Maria's side of things because the prompt didn't ask for OT3, and because I've crossposted this version to y!gallery."[1]
