Maleficent is a fantasy live-action/CGI reimagining film of Disney's 1959 film of Sleeping Beauty, which was originally based on "La Belle au bois dormant" by Charles Perrault.

A sequel to the film, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, was released in 2019.
