Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is a magical girl anime and manga series, that ran in 2004 and from 2009 to 2011.
Canon
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha features the titular character, Nanoha Takamachi, who is enlisted by mage Yuuno Scrya to collect the Jewel Seeds; while helping her become a mage herself. Later, after the collection of the Jewel Seeds, mage Fate Testarossa appears with the intention to collect the Jewel Seeds[1].
