The Author Comments
An editor of the zine this appeared in, HAS 5, said to me, “I don’t understand why this story exists; there’s no purpose to it.” Well, it certainly wasn’t rocket science, but I sort of liked the atmosphere. I felt vindicated when a reader once told me that it was one of her all-time favorite stories. [1]
