MASC Newsletter was the common, colloquial name for internal publications within a children's science club (called the Melbourne Amateur Science Club) in Australia.
MASC was started in 1971 and ran until 1977, when its Star Trek subsection (named Austrek) outgrew the parent club and forced it to shut down due to limited time and resources.
Due to the small size of the club, and its closure in 1977, very few copies of these publications exist.
Austrek histories reference this newsletter by name, when in fact they are referring to The Space Age fanzine.
