Elizabeth "Liz" Shaw is the companion of the Third Doctor in the British TV series Doctor Who as well as the Fourth Doctor and the Fifth Doctor in other spin off media. She is also a member of P.R.o.B.e. in the series of the same name. She is played by Caroline John as well as her daughter Daisy Ashford (née Beevers) in Big Finish since 2019 and Hazel Burrows in P.R.o.B.e. since 2015.

In the semi-canonical spinoff BBV series P.R.O.B.E, Liz is revealed to be in a relationship with a woman, Patricia Haggard. Most fans who are aware of this accept Liz being sapphic as 'canon' - at least as far as Doctor Who can be said to have one. Lesbian headcanons seem to be more common than her being bi amongst fans who acknowledge her sapphicness.
