Reactions and Reviews

For the newbies in the back, this fic was the biggest thing since sliced bread back in the day (2012). The entire fandom waited with baited breath for every single update, dropped everything when it did update, and flailed like mad online about the update. No one understood how an entire fic could be written SOLELY IN TEXT FORM. Every single word. And yet it works. It’s fantastic. It’s the only fic I ever read with my middle school daughter. You will LOVE THIS FIC. Read it. Now. GO![2]

I think that this fic is probably one of the most well-known and well-loved in the fandom, and rightly so, because it is heartwarming, funny, fluffy, and touching.

One of the most remarkable things about the fic is that it is entirely written in texting format (and some over-the-phone dialogue towards the end), meaning that there is no narration or description at all. But that's what makes it work so well -- the way we have to work out what is going on through Kurt and Blaine's text conversations doesn't make it harder to read but surprisingly easier. And it goes to show just how good iknowitainteasy's writing is that we can still read their emotions even through a few simple words of a text.

This was the first ever piece of fanfiction I read, and it set the bar high. It's one of those fics where you'll see something mundane and think, Oh, that reminds me of something, then realise that the something you're reminded of is Little Numbers. Kurt and Blaine's story here, while simple and cute, is the kind that sits in a little corner of your heart and lights up when you're feeling low. It's the story that you want to reread the most, just to have that little smile and feeling of yes, I love this that really brightens your day.

All in all this is a fabulous fic and comes highly recommended. And be warned, after reading it, you'll never see the name Bradshaw the same way again![3]

Little Numbers. Ahh, I think we’ve all at some point sent or received a wrong number text, and that’s what makes this story so brilliant: it could happen to anyone. This story is full of multimedia; from photos of Bradshaw to clips of music, to a video of a lamb running round a house; and they really bring everything to life. Whilst you may wish to learn about things which happen outside the world of phones, I’m glad that the Little Numbers world is a virtual one, relying on imagination to draw the dots from scene to scene. Because we all hate Tuesdays.[4]

This is one of those famous fanfics in the Klaine fandom. If you haven’t read this one, stop whatever you are doing and read it. This is so fluffy and adorable and had me laughing out loud on multiple occasions. Definitely a must-read. Gorgeous, adorable fic.[5]

This is the fic every Klaine shipper in the fandom MUST read. It gets referenced a LOT here on Tumblr. It is also widely believed that Ryan Murphy plagiarized the fountain scene from this story and included it in ‘The New Rachel’ episode of Glee, season 4.[6]

One of the few fluffy Klaine fics I am really enjoying. Blaine accidently sends Kurt a text and things progress from there. The story is written entirely in text messages and is wonderful. Complete.[7]
