Literary-Inspired Web Series is a type of webseries who stories are heavily based on classic literary works, but generally updated for a modern setting and presented in the form of videos shared on the internet. There is an umbrella fandom for these works linking together many smaller fandoms.

The most prominent, and arguably the blueprint for LIWS was The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, an adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
