Life Less Ordinary is an unfinished Hanson fanfic by Ali.
The story takes place in an alternate universe where Zac is raised in New York as an only child. By accident, he discovers that he has an older brother who was given up for adoption, and he sets off to Seattle, Washington to find him. Before Zac can reveal his identity to Taylor, he has already fallen for him, and he allows Taylor to reciprocate those feelings without telling him the truth.
Although the story begins in Zac's point of view, Taylor takes over narration for the second half, after Zac finally reveals the truth and the two try to come to terms with it.

Life Less Ordinary won awards in the Blank Page Awards and Thieves and Liars Awards. It is also featured in the PlaceToHide.net hall of fame.
