Letters to Qui-Gon Jinn is a Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan story by Flamethrower.
Summary: When Jedi Master Tahl is murdered, Qui-Gon Jinn leaves the Order, and his Padawan. Obi-Wan Kenobi isn't about to let him go that easily.
Recs and Reviews
Qui-Gon has left the Jedi Order after Tahl's death, but Obi-Wan will never let him go, at least from his heart. Obi-Wan writes him a series of seemingly fruitless letters, not expecting an answer, which details his life as a Padawan.Obi-Wan uses the letters as part diary/part confessional, so we (and Qui-Gon, who turns out to be reading them after all) get to see his development as a Jedi Knight from the inside.
One of my favorite scenes has them reunited at an art exhibition, which impresses Obi-Wan, along with the rest of us.
I have a feeling you'll love this long and tender tale just as much as I do.[1]
