Let's Rock! is a fanzine themed centered around The Gavinners, an in-universe rock band in the Ace Attorney game series.
About
LET'S ROCK! will showcase various scenarios, compilations, and more revolving around the Gavinners from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Whether that be day-to-day shenanigans with the paparazzi, glimpses of band practice, a look inside what life was like for them during their Themis days, or even a chance to showcase your Gavinners OCs... it’s all up to you!
The zine will be rated PG-13 depending on what a contributor may present in the zine, including any possible cursing and/or slight mentions of alcohol or drugs depicted. There will be absolutely NO NSFW of any kind. Intense gore and violence will also not be presented. Contributors who go against this will be removed from the project.
LET’S ROCK! will be a non-profit zine; any money made after production and shipping costs will be donated to a reputable charity, to be determined. All contributors will receive both a free digital and physical copy of the zine.[1]
The zine was announced with an interest check on September 10, 2022, then closed interest checks on September 25, 2022[2][3]. All zine information such as zine specifications, mod information, and guidelines was laid out in a Google Document[1]. Interest check results were posted on October 1, 2022, along with an open call for a finance moderator[4]. Contributor applications opened on October 17, 2022, for page artists, writers, and merch artists[5]. Applications closed on November 18, 2022, and results were sent out by November 25, 2022[6][7].
Preorders opened on May 2, 2023 with the following pricing bundles[8]:
- General Admission ($15 USD) - PDF Zine, Digital icons and avatars
- Priority Admission ($30 USD) - Physical Zine, PDF Zine, Digital icons and avatars
- Backstage Pass ($45 USD) - Physical Zine, PDF Zine, Photocard, Double-sided acrylic charm, A5 Print, Digital icons and avatars
- VIP Pass ($50 USD) - Physical Zine, PDF Zine, Photocard, Double-sided acrylic charm, A5 Print, Die-cut Stickers, Digital icons and avatars
Preorders were paused within the first few hours of opening due to issues with PayPal[9]. Preorders resumed again on May 5, 2023, then closed on schedule on June 13, 2023[10][11].
On August 24, 2023, fans were notified to finalize address changes before the zine was shipped out by August 31, 2023[12]. Leftovers opened on October 20, 2023[13] In the final days of the leftover sales, a discount of 15% was offered to any incoming orders[14]. Leftoers closed on November 28, 2023[15]
