Lauren Fairweather (also known as Ren Fairweather) is a musician and vlogger who has produced content for the Harry Potter and The Magicians fandoms.
FiveAwesomeGirls
Between 2007 and 2011, Lauren and four other girls founded the fiveawesomegirls YouTube channel, inspired by the vlogbrothers/Brotherhood 2.0 channel hosted by John Green and Hank Green. Lauren was expected to post a video every Tuesday.
Music
The Moaning Myrtles
Lauren Fairweather and Nina Jankowicz formed a wizard rock band The Moaning Myrtles after being inspired by Harry and the Potters[1]. Nearly every song released by the band is told from the perspective of the character Moaning Myrtle.

Solo Career
As Nina left the wizard rock community, Lauren began to release solo music under her own name. A large portion of her solo music falls under the wizard rock category, but they also sing songs inspired by the Nerdfighteria community and John Green’s books, The Magicians TV show, and her personal life.

Personal Life
Lauren identifies as genderfluid and bisexual, and uses she/they pronouns[2].
They were married to Matt Maggiacomo of The Whomping Willows.
