Night World is a YA fantasy novel series by LJ Smith, consisting of nine published novels and a planned tenth, as follows:

Strange Fate
The planned tenth and final volume of the series, originally scheduled for publication in 1999. As of 2022, the book has not been released despite years of speculation and often-contradictory information regarding release dates circulated online. A direct announcement from LJ Smith appeared in 2008, creating a degree of enthusiasm among fans, but an announced 2010 release date came and went with no result, although an elaborate Web site launched during this period somewhat rejuvenated the series' fan base. Updates to the site, however, gradually came to a halt in the mid-2010s, possibly concurrent with the author's reported illness in 2015. [1].
As of April 2022, however, the author's Web site appears to have undergone a complete revamping and relaunch with a much-simplified design, and while the new site gives no publication date, a new statement from Smith indicates that she remains at work on the novel.
