Kristen Murphy was a member of the Organization for Transformative Works Board of Directors from 2011 to 2013, elected in November 2010. She served as OTW Secretary in 2011 and as President in 2012. She also started the 2013 term as President, but stepped down in September 2013 and finished the term as Secretary.[1]
Murphy has also served on the Webmasters committee starting at its inception 2008, and was the committee's chair in 2010 and 2011. From 2012 to 2013, she was the chair of the Development & Membership committee; in 2014, she was a co-chair of the committee with Lesann.
OTW Biography
Kristen Murphy is on the staff of the Individualized Major Program at Indiana University and is pursuing a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs. She co-organized the first U.S. conference on individualized major programs, which has become an annual event. She has worked on a professional Web development team and as a writer and editor for print and online media. Murphy joined online fandom in 1996, beginning with Quantum Leap and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and branching out to numerous science fiction and fantasy fandoms. She is an avid writer, beta reader, and podficcer.[2]
