It published AlleyWays with the cooperation of Kirstie Alley. The fan club disbanded shortly after Kirstie Alley was replaced in the role of Saavik.
From AlleyWays #1: "My involvement with KAFA started this past September when I met Connie at the NYU Science Fiction Club. She sat cross-legged on the floor, and in her hand was a copy of Roddenberry's ST:TMP. The way she pored over the book struck me as rather odd. An introduction session circled around the room, and Connie introduced herself by stating that she was a hard-core Trek fan and was starting a Kirstie Alley/Saavik fan club. "Is she for real?" I thought quietly to myself. In spite of my amusement. I was definitely interested and, in a matter of days, we soon joined forces. Connie and I shared a common goal--getting KAFA off the ground. Connie started with the letter writing while I made the phone calls. I had no idea how hard starting a club would be and, as Connie would readily agree, how time consuming it is. In a period of over three exhausting months, KAFA slowly became a reality. Connie insists that it was a matter of persistence and hard work. And I agree, but (sorry Connie) I think it was luck that pulled us through; when Kirstie stated the words "I want you to do it!" I was dumbstruck to say the least."
