In Mary Renault fandom, the term "ketchup" is used to refer to passages in fiction that are more or less sexually explicit.
The term references a comment made by Renault: "I have always been as explicit as I wanted to be, and have not been much more so in recent books. [...] Inch-by-inch physical descriptions are the ketchup of the literary cuisine."[1]
