Keith/Lotor is a rarepair in Voltron fandom. Their canon relationship in Voltron Defender of the Universe is antagonistic and in Voltron: Legendary Defender they are antagonistic at first, nominal allies later, but barely interact.
Canon
According to the showrunners, Keith and Lotor were supposed to have more interaction and become true foils to one another. This was back when Shiro was slated to be killed off for good, and before Steven Yeun's schedule led to Keith's screen time being severely limited in seasons 4 and 5. [1]
