Kaniehtí:io/Haytham Kenway is a ship in Assassin's Creed fandom.

In canon, they had a relationship and Kaniehtí:io became pregnant, although they split up at some point after she learned he was a Templar. She raised the child without informing Haytham. Naturally, there are abundant AUs where they stay together.

Fan perspectives

I felt that there were gaps in Haytham and Ziio’s relationship. Even after they settled their differences, Haytham never took a wife, or even a mistress. Committing himself to the Templar Order was his way of distraction, because he only ever loved one woman, and he loved her always. I think such a sweet aspect of Haytham’s personality needed to be explored further by Ubisoft…maybe a few more intimate scenes would’ve done them justice.[1]

After reading Forsaken, I really didn't think his explanation on why Haytham and Ziio split up matched how she talked about Haytham in the game at all. It seemed more like she just knew he was concentrated on things greater than himself and didn't want her son entangled in them, rather than a huge falling out.[2]

Was I the only one who didn’t expect Haytham and Ziio to end up as a couple? It kinda took me by surprise tbh[3]

They loved each other. They truly did. Haytham never stopped thinking about her, not even after years. So did Ziio. After she died and Haytham got informed about it, something broke inside of him. As you can read in the book. Haytham cared for her![4]

I hate Haytham and Ziio as a couple. Girl he is not cute, has a bad personality, and he cant even pronounce your name, how is your white boy thirst that strong??[5]
