Kagamine Len (鏡音レン) is a Vocaloid released alongside Kagamine Rin on December 27, 2007.
About
The development of the Kagamines began when Crypton formulated the concept of making a pair of female and male voicebanks. The first idea was for two voices of a girl and her mirror image of the opposite gender, just like twins, though this was not the case. The creator decided their relationship was neither that of siblings nor lovers, instead enforcing the idea that they had one soul between the two of them and were connected by such.
Their voices are provided by the Japanese voice actress, Asami Shimoda.
Their names were created using Right and Left, while their surname was derived from the developing code combining Kagami (鏡, mirror) and Ne (音, sound).
