Julius Schwartz was a fan and pro editor who was influential in both science fiction and comic book fandom. He co-edited fanzines The Time Traveller and Fantasy Magazine, and later became an editor for DC Comics, where he created Adam Strange and originated the Justice League of America. He also revived characters like the Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman and the Atom, along with editing Batman and Superman.
