Jingle Spells is a series of wizard rock holiday albums released by The Leaky Cauldron. Proceeds benefit the Harry Potter Alliance and have also gone to various other charitable organizations in the past.
Jingle Spells
The first Jingle Spells album was released in November 2007. It was limited to 3,000 physical copies and is now out of print. Harry and the Potters writes:
- "This compilation was put together by the Leaky Cauldron as part of their annual Get A Clue charity fundraiser. Proceeds from the sale of this this album were donated to Book Aid International. Over $30,000 was raised by this album! Ongoing digital sales benefit the Harry Potter Alliance.
- We contributed a track called Xmas Rulez, Voldemort Droolz, which was recorded almost a year earlier and included on our 2006 Yule Ball cassette. It features the first-ever recorded appearance of Bradley Mehlenbacher playing with us on the drums. The version on this album is a new mix done by our pal Dan Brennan."[1]
Jingle Spells is available as a digital download through Amazon, iTunes, and the Leaky Cauldron store.

- "Following the success of 2007′s Jingle Spells, the Leaky Cauldron has put together another fantastic holiday CD with tons of great songs by great wizard rock bands! Every penny of profit on this album will be donated to Book Aid International, to aid in their effort to install libraries in the places in the world that need them most, as well as the the Harry Potter Alliance as it helps bring the messages of the books into the real world.
- We’ve contributed a new song that was supposed to be called Hedwig is Coming to Town but accidentally ended up being called Snowy Owl. It’s both a nod to Hedwig and to our favorite Christmas record of all time, A Christmas Gift to You from Phil Sector. The song was recorded in our parent’s living room in September 2008."[1]

Jingle Spells 3
Jingle Spells 3 was released in December 2009. It was limited to 1,500 physical copies. Harry and the Potters writes:
- "The third release in the Leaky Cauldrons wildly successful holiday series. The first two editions have raised more than $40,000 for awesome charities like Book Aid International and the Harry Potter Alliance. And the fundraising continues with another excellent holiday-themed wizard disc.
- Fun fact about our song this year. The house elf chorus line of “We hate getting clothes for christmas” was originally in a song we wrote for the Magical Christmas of Magic compilation that was sung entirely by house elves. We left it off the CD because we thought it was a little too long and annoying, but we did later work it into the 2005 Yule Ball cassette. This song was recorded in September 2008 and Brad Mehlenbacher played drums on it."[1]

Jingle Spells 4
Jingle Spells 4 was released in December 2010. It was limited to 1,000 physical copies. Harry and the Potters writes:
- "Yes indeed! That time of year has come round again and wizardly holiday tunes are destined to grace desktops and high-fis across the land. I’ll be completely honest here: Jingle Spells 4 is THE BEST Jingle Spells ever. This year only a small handful of bands were invited to submit songs and the rest of the spots on the album were open to contributions from anyone. We got a lot of really cool stuff and we put our faves on this disc! This year, sales of Jingle Spells benefit the Harry Potter Alliance and Friends in Deed.
- For those wondering at the title, don’t worry, our song is strictly book-canon. It was recorded in Jan/Feb 2010 in Woonsocket, RI and Norwood, MA. Brad Mehlenbacher played drums."[1]
