James Kaposztas is best known as the first vidder to create an AMV in an anglophone anime fandom. He very much believed in fandom as a gift economy, sharing his fears of discovering his AMVs for sale in the episode on copyright in the documentary AMV DocuSeries[1] In 2020 he began uploading his AMVs to YouTube under the handle Ultragoji.
He was active member of anime fanclubs, including the Cartoon/Fantasy Organization, from the 1990s until his death in early 2023. He worked as a staffer for and participate in numerous cons, from Otakon to the most recent Derpycon.
