James Swallow is a New York Times bestselling novelist. As Jim Swalllow he was active in British SFF, anime and gaming fandom. He was a British anime voice actor, and also a celebrated fan writer before turning professional. He has written fanzine articles, original fiction, and parts of canon for multiple sci-fi series, including Star Trek, Dr. Who.

He also wrote fanfiction and was a guest at conventions.
