Jade Claymore is a main character from the Willow TV series.
Canon
At the beginning of the series, Jade has believed since childhood that she was taken in by Queen Sorsha and raised in the castle after Bone Reavers killed Jade's family. She trained as a fighter under Ballantine and was scheduled to leave Tir Asleen for Galladoorn so she could become a Knight of the Shining Legion. She only revealed this to Kit on the day of Kit's wedding announcement to Graydon, having been worried that Kit would not be happy for her and believe Jade was abandoning her.
All plans were derailed when Prince Airk was kidnapped and Jade insisted on accompanying Kit to rescue him; Queen Sorsha imparting on her the necessity of being rational in the face of Kit's impulsiveness just before they left.
Jade would later find out that the details she had known of her life were a lie and that she was in fact the daughter of General Kael, a Bone Reaver, and had family living in the Wild Woods.
