Intergalactic Klingon Empire was a Houston, Texas-based fan club with a Klingon emphasis.

From a 1995 blurb in the RevelCon program book: "Intergalactic Klingon Empire (IKE) is not just another Trek club. They are active in convention staffing, security a specialty. They field paintball teams and many other interesting activities. Challenge yourself, join the IKE."

Some Activities

1995

RevelCon program book:

  • Klingon Nupitals:
Sandwiched in between the Cabaret/Costume Contest and the Charity Auction is Klingon Nuptials (the wedding of two Klingpn warriors). As with everything Klingon, definitely short and not necessarily sweet and they aren't sure about this sandwich thing.

  • Klingon Charity Project:
The Klingon Klink! The Houston area Klingons (IKE) are working this year to raise $3600 to donate to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is the average amount needed to grant a wish. Their REVELcon fundraiser is Klingon jail. Any member of REVELcon may issue a warrant against a fellow member. It is $1 per 10 minute period, with a maximum of 30 minutes per warrant, three times per weekend per member. Participating in the Klingon Klink is strictly on a voluntary basis. If unwilling to participate, ask for diplomatic immunity at the registration table and a red dot will be put on your badge. Warrants on diplomats will be reversed. Be careful who you issue a warrant on. Any member can be released from jail early if they pay bond, $2 per 10 minute period. Remember all proceeds go to their charity project.
