This story has much to commend it, but my favorite part was Cogley rationally coming up with good reasons why the Enterprise crew really hadn't committed crimes. Especially the part where Spock's clan officially owned the ready-for-salvage Enterprise, so it wasn't theft. I also enjoyed Spock enjoying Kirk's nudity and Kirk's reflection on their first night when the only got to the 'cock-holding' stage. And his assumption that "after many years of delightful experience," they weren't "likely to settle for that now." And then they did.[1]
