The premise is simple: A drunk Ray shows up at the Consulate very late at night and asks Fraser for a very, very big favor. I still remember my reaction when I first read this fic: it was like getting punched in the gut (but, you know, in a good way) and then it was warm and fuzzy and then I immediately scrolled back up to the top and read the story all over again. Unlike most of my recs, this isn't a realistc, plausible story. Instead it's an intense, visceral thrill ride that frankly pushed every one of my trust issue, first time, and angst buttons. Not a long fic (though not really short, either), but man does it have an impact. [1]
