This fic was first created as a custom zine in summer of 1996 by the original creator as a birthday present for two fans. The fan was anonymous, and the front cover art was by Teegar.
It was then printed in October 1996 in the zine Chekov Uncovered #1.
The story was posted to alt.startrek.creative on April 9, 1997.
