Hyman Tiger was an early science fiction fan and member of the Queens Science Fiction League. He was its president in 1941, when a physical altercation broke out between the Triumvirs and two Futurians whom Tiger and secretary Scott Feldman had invited to a special meeting. Tiger and Feldman resigned shortly afterwards, and were present at Boskone I for a discussion about the National Fantasy Fan Federation.[1] Tiger became a charter member of the NFFF, despite some initial misgivings about getting involved in another fan organization.
