Kobeni Higashiyama is a major character in Chainsaw Man. She is introduced as a rookie Devil Hunter but part way through the manga she resigns.

Kobeni's cowardice and misfortune lead to her being seen as somewhat of a woobie by much of the fandom, although the tone of fandom discussion is almost as often delighting in her suffering as much as comforting or sympathizing with her. A particularly notable example of that is how Kobeni's car outranked her in the first popularity poll.

The great thing about kobeni losing to her own car in a popularity contest is that it means all the car voters understand her role perfectly. Her actually popularity is irrelevant, what matters is that world conspires ensure she stays losing. We all signed contracts to make sure Kobeni goes to hell no matter what
