Need to document "you can't hide some fields by deleting them manually on an individual article's Edit page"
Can we please document somewhere that removing fields from a template on the Edit page of an individual article doesn't hide those fields in the displayed article, but does make them invisible on the Edit page? I've seen people try to delete unwanted fields that way several times now, and it creates a really confusing situation for later editors where the blank fields are visible on the article, but invisible when you go to the Edit page to try to fill them in. I'd like to at least see that explained here, and ideally on one of the more beginner-friendly Help pages that mentions using templates.--Penknife 14:01, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
