Help talk:Editing pages
I just noticed that there's a similarly named page called Help:Editing that isn't in the Category:Help. The uncategorized page is the version linked to "editing help" on edit pages. These two pages could probably be merged.--æthel 15:28, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- In the absense of consensus, I followed the be bold rule and merged the pages because I couldn't stand seeing the duplication any longer :) If this edit stands, the editing help link next to the Show Changes button should probably be fixed as it's now a redirect.--æthel 15:42, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't know if this is the best place, but I'd like to include links to the two existing WYSIWYG wiki-editing tools that new users can install to help them learn how to use wiki code. One is for Microsoft Office 2007/2010 and the other is for OpenOffice (which Mac and Linux users can use, as well as PC users who don't own a Word license);
The Word add on is discussed here: http://www.labnol.org/software/wysiwyg-wiki-editor/18062/ The Open Office: http://wiki.bonusbits.com/main/HowTo:Convert_Word_Document_to_Wikitext_with_OpenOffice (with a visual tutorial here: http://wikieducator.org/Wikieducator_tutorial/Editing_using_open_office for another Wiki. --MeeDee 23:17, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
