This is a sample page structure for a page about a meta essay. Examples: The Wave Theory of Slash, An Archive Of One's Own (post by astolat), and Before Hokage and After: A Tsunade Analysis. When you create a page, you can copy the text below and paste it into the blank edit window to begin editing the page.
All of the wording in this template is intended as a placeholder for the actual content of your page, but you don't have to use all of it! Replace the placeholder text with whatever you want to put on the page, and if you don't have anything to put there, you can leave out that section or remove the text. (Please don't leave the placeholder text on the page!)

(Description of the meta essay; very brief summary of what the meta is about, when and where it was posted. If the meta author provided their own summary, you can include that here.) ==Context== (Include information on the wider context of the meta: any conversations happening in fandom that might have motivated the author, any related events, any relevant fandom norms of the time, etc. It's important to situate the author's perspective in the context that created it) ==Publication History== (If the meta has been published in a number of different places, you can include details here) ==Chapters/Sections== (If the meta is long enough to be split into sections or chapters, you can list them here) ==Some Topics Discussed== (Include a brief bulleted list of the most important and most frequent topics of discussion in the meta essay here) ==Excerpts== (Include important excerpts from the meta post/essay here. When choosing what to include, look for sections that introduce notable points and/or give a sense of the meta's key arguments or themes. Use your best judgment when deciding how much to quote from the post) QUOTE TEXT HERE ==Fan Comments== (You can include a variety of fan comments that the meta received) QUOTE TEXT HERE QUOTE TEXT HERE ==Reaction and Influence== (If applicable, include a description of overall fan reaction to the meta, and how the meta influenced fandom. If you include a Reaction and Influence section, consider not including the Reception section below, since there is likely to be significant overlap between the two) ==Reception== (You can include a section on overall fan reception of the meta, if it makes sense to do so. However, don't include too many sections that are too similar; e.g. if you include the Reception section, consider not including the Reaction and Influence section, since there is likely to be significant overlap between the two) ==Further reading== (Link to any related articles or readings, if applicable) ==References== <References/> (or if a specific meta category exists for your fandom)
