Harry Potter RPF (or HP RPF) is the RPF fandom for works about the actors from the Harry Potter films.
Because most of the Harry Potter actors were so young in the first few films, RPF didn't initially take off the way it did in other fandoms. It began to gain popularity after the release of the Prisoner of Azkaban film in 2004 (when most of the younger actors were around fifteen).
Most HP RPF stories focuses on the younger actors, though some feature older ones such as Gary Oldman, David Thewlis, and Alan Rickman, or even director Alfonso Cuarón.[1] The most popular actors featured include Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Robert Pattinson, Katie Leung, and others.
It is also common to pair Harry Potter actors with celebrities from other RPF fandoms, such as Lotrips or Disney RPF. For example DanRad/Zefron (Daniel Radcliffe/Zac Efron) and DanRad/Elijah (Daniel Radcliffe/Elijah Wood) are both popular pairings.
