Hard Sun, a vid by bradcpu and Laura Shapiro, is a meta Firefly vid that premiered at Vividcon in 2009. Using original footage shot by Brad, Laura, kiki_miserychic, millylicious, obsessive24, thedothatgirl, and vchrusch of "fans living their everyday lives," the vid explores the ways in which fans in general (and vidders especially) live with and through their creative daily experience of fandoms like Firefly.
The vidders did a dvd commentary of the vid, explaining how it was made and detailing over choices they made;[1] AbsoluteDestiny also did a detailed analytical commentary of the vid in October, 2009.[2] Both can be found at the Vid Commentary community; they are available through streaming or download.
