We know what you're thinking. But there's a bazillion of those! You're right, there are plenty of other Hancest/Hanfic/Zaylor specific communities on LJ. The difference with this one is that we want to take the focus off of sex.
We realize a bunch of people just hit the back button after reading that last line, but we don't care. We know a lot of people in the Hancest community love the sexual aspect of it all, and that's fine. Heck, we love it, too! But everything in moderation, folks. We enjoy a good sex scene in fanfic every so often, we just want to focus our time and attention on discussions, and stories, and fan art that have a little less of it.
