Haldir is an Elf character in the Lord of the Rings series. He appears in The Fellowship of the Ring, acting as the Fellowship's guide through Lothlórien.
He is given an expanded role in the Peter Jackson film adaptations, in which he is portrayed by Craig Parker. In The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), he leads an army of Elves from Lórien to the Battle of Helm's Deep, where he is killed. Haldir and the other Elves are not present at Helm's Deep in the books.
