HMS Sailslash is an archive for of the "Sailslash writers group, founded for the discussion and publication of "Age of Sail" (circa 1750-1850) fiction - original work, fan fiction and parodies." The mailing list was created December 2000 and was most active during the first three years.[1]
Eligible fandoms include the "Hornblower series, Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series, Dudley Pope, Alexander Kent, Jane Austen, Melville, Marryat and many other authors and real-life heroes of the great age of fighting sail."
