When I started to read this story my first reaction was how much out of character Robin Wesley seemed to be. As I read on it became clear that it was all part of the story-line, that Robin hadn't really changed all that much. James Griffin is in trouble. The strain of losing his father and Charlie in quick succession has made him vulnerable, and he also has to cope with Robin Wesley, his late father's trusted right-hand man. Griffin doesn't get on with Wesley. An incident in their past keeps them from communicating properly. Against all the odds they fall in love and Griffin comes to rely on Robin, only for everything to fall apart.

Griffin is very well written, and gripping to the very last page.
