Grief/Mourning is a trope dealing with loss. Usually this relates to a death, being associated with it, though it's not a necessity, and grief surrounding other forms of loss, such as a physical seperation, a break up of a relationship of some kind, or the end of a certain period of a character's life, can also be addressed.
