Reactions and Reviews

Grasping at the Shadows, by Maedoc (gen) - this is the latest in the GDP spin-off Reflections in the Mirror series. I love the the GDP universe, especially Susan Foster's collaborations with Jael Lynn and Maedoc. This new installment is attributed to Maedoc on her own, although the earlier stories in this particular series were collaborations with Susan. I love the characterisation in this story of the GDP universe's damaged - but recovering - Blair. Hunter's 'tough love', and Blair's acceptance of hard truths during a period of time away from Jim, show Blair as such an incredibly heroic and resilient character - just the way I love him to be depicted. This story won't make a lot of sense unless you are well-versed in the GDP universe, and have read the earlier stories in the series. But if you have, it is fantastic stuff.[1]
