Golden Sun Fan Fiction Archive (GSFFA) was a Golden Sun archive created in 2005 by fan writers Triad Orion and Midnight C. It was hosted on Midnight C's personal server[2] and ran on eFiction script.

As of 2011, the archive hosted 131 stories by 48 authors.[3] It had been inactive since 2008, and thus only contained stories based on Golden Sun and The Lost Age, and none featuring Dark Dawn characters or canon.

In 2015, the Golden Sun Fan Fiction Archive disappeared. While Midnight C's personal server still existed, the index was redirecting to another site and the domain that hosted the site expired a year later.

Stories were sorted by the following categories:

Rules

All submissions were reviewed by the administrators for quality of writing before being accepted into the archive. This was "to maintain a high level of quality in this archive, particularly when it comes to the mechanics of the English language. One of the reasons this site was created was because the level of quality in the Golden Sun section of FanFiction.net kept getting worse."[4] Authors who had been proven to submit high-quality work could be receive "Validation" so that their work no longer needed to be reviewed before it was added.

The archive accepted all pairings but did not accept NC-17 stories.

Warnings

"Warnings exist as a way of informing potential readers about the contents of your story [but] don't necessarily represent offensive material."[4] Archive warning include:

Original Characters: Meaning the work contains characters that don't exist in the Golden Sun world but were invented by the author. This does not include minor characters such as innkeepers, salesmen, or random thugs. The warning is for author-created major characters in particular.
Shonen/Shoujo-Ai: For stories containing male/male and/or female/female relationships. Though many authors use the terms interchangeably, Shonen/Shoujo-Ai is not the same as Yaoi/Yuri. Yaoi/Yuri fics are defined as being sexually explicit and most would fall under the NC-17 rating, which isn't allowed here. Shonen/Shoujo-Ai is the less explicit form of homosexual love.
Graphic Violence: Fics containing extremely vivid depictions of violence. Examples would be epic battle sequences with blood and gore or a scene of a murder that is more than vague.
Pre-Lost Age Canon: This primarily applies to older works written before the release of the Lost Age. Stories carrying this warning remain true to the plot of the first game but assume no knowledge of the contents of the second game.
Suggestive Themes: Fics with language alluding or referring to sex. This could be in character dialogue, action, or thoughts. As well, this applies to descriptions which may be suggestive without being explicit in nature.
Coarse Language: For stories with multiple instances of swear words. Left to the author's descretion. If the author is unsure whether or not the level of swearing is enough to constitute the use of this warning, it should be used anyway.
Mild OOC-nes: Most likely to apply to humor stories. This means that one or more of the Golden Sun characters is deliberately portrayed as slightly out of his or her usual character.
Character Bashing: Again, most often applies to humor stories. This means that one or more characters is deliberately "bashed" or picked on by the author throughout the story.
Death/Suicide: For stories containing character death and/or suicide. The Character Death warning is up to the author's descretion [sic], especially if the character's death is a plot twist or other such event.
