General
Genderswap recasting switches the sex and gender of the existing cast and suggests alternative actors and actresses. It usually takes the form of side-by-side comparison picspams. Sometimes, alternative, gendered names are proposed ("Lucas Pevensie" swapped for the original "Lucy Pevensie" [1]) The terminology of genderswap derives from the fiction tropes of Genderfuck and Genderswap and makes the same elision of sex and gender.
